Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the QuickMacros mobile and web application (the "Service") provided by Quick Macros ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EEA/UK) to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and that you are legally able to enter into these Terms.

2. Your account

• You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account.
• Keep your password secure and notify us promptly of any unauthorized access.
• Provide accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes.
• Upload content that infringes others' rights or violates applicable law.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
• Use the Service to build a competing product or to scrape data at scale.
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the meal descriptions, photos, and audio you submit ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you. We do not use Your Content to train AI models.

5. AI-generated estimates — not medical advice

QuickMacros uses AI to estimate calories and macronutrients from your input. These estimates are approximate and may be inaccurate. The Service is provided for general informational and tracking purposes only and is not medical, nutritional, or dietary advice. Do not rely on it for medical decisions. Consult a qualified healthcare professional for any condition or dietary need.

6. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties including Lovable Cloud (hosting and database), the Lovable AI Gateway, Google, and OpenAI. Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers' terms where applicable. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Quick Macros and protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited rights to use the Service granted in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time by contacting support@quickmacros.app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use harms the Service or other users. On termination, sections that by their nature should survive (e.g., disclaimers, limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy of AI estimates. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quick Macros and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or (b) USD 50.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Quick Macros harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. If changes are material, we will notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at our principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You and Quick Macros agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there for any dispute, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise.
